Born Feb. 20, 1902, in San Fransisco, Ansel Adams got his inspiration from nature. As a child, he was always found wondering around all day just looking and observing it. In 1919 he joined the sierra club as the lodges keeper. He met and became friends with a lot of the clubs leaders. He got his discipline from teaching himself  how to play the piano.

I like this picture because of the reflection and how much it just brings the calmness. It is kind of sad , but still really shadowy.

I chose these pictures because I really like their color. I love all of the purples and blues, it's really relaxing. I also really think that the landscapes in them are really cool. Not to mention that the water and its reflection makes the picture that much better. The color changes in the second one really makes all of the colors stand out. It blends nicely though. My favorite things about the top one are the elevation changes and how smooth the colors brush along the picture.
